A 5-year manufacturer’s warranty (frame and mechanism; 2 years on the gas lift; upholstery, mesh, castors and other wear parts excluded), coordinated by Apex. To make a claim, email support@apexcomfort.co.uk with your order number and we coordinate it.
- Made to order
This chair is built after you order, typically in 4–5 weeks from build confirmation, which we email you shortly after you order. You may cancel from the order date up to 14 days after delivery. If your order has not been dispatched, we cancel it and refund you in full. Products configured using our online menu options are built to order but remain fully covered by standard 14-day cancellation rights.

Product Details
A full synchronous task chair built for long working days – Prompt is built around a full synchromatic mechanism with integrated forward tilt, an instant-response tension control wheel with 240° of travel, and a five-position backrest lock. It is specified for office and home-office users who sit for extended periods and want the chair to move with them rather than hold them still.
Adjustment where it matters, without unnecessary complexity – A sliding seat sets seat depth to leg length, the backrest adjusts for height, and seat tilt is included as standard. On the upholstered backs the chair is rated to a 150 kg user weight, placing it well above the typical 110 kg rating of standard office seating.

Built for people who sit six hours a day or more – Prompt's adjustments are the ones that change posture: seat height, seat depth, backrest height and recline resistance. Cold-moulded polyurethane foam is used on the upholstered seat and backrest, and the upholstery is applied without adhesives.
Pneumatic seat height adjustment: 400–540 mm depending on specification, letting you set feet flat with a neutral knee angle
Sliding seat depth: 70 mm — clears the back of the knee while keeping full thigh support
Height-adjustable backrest: Raises and lowers, standard on every build
Adjustable torsion control: A 240° wheel sets how much resistance the recline offers
Forward tilt: Tips the seat forward for periods of close, concentrated work
Free-flow recline with five-position lock: Move freely, or fix the backrest where you want it

- Free tracked UK delivery — typically 4–5 weeks from build confirmation, which we email you shortly after you order.
- Delivered fully assembled — your chair arrives fully built and ready to use, with your chosen options fitted. Our delivery partner will phone you to arrange the day; delivery is to your door (kerbside), and you’ll need to bring the chair inside. Unpacking and disposing of the packaging is left to you, and someone needs to be there to sign for it, so please make sure the phone number you give at checkout is right.

You can return an item for a change of mind within 14 days of delivery. Return collection charges apply to change-of-mind returns, except on Hood F94, K22 and C19 chairs bought in a Fast Track option: we collect those at no charge, and an unused one can be returned within 30 days of delivery.
