Product Details
A patented backrest that rotates around its vertical axis – Scope's Pendolo backrest concept allows the back to rotate left and right around the vertical axis while you are sitting, on top of conventional recline. The result is coordinated movement in three dimensions rather than a single reclining plane.
Aluminium structure, certified for 24-hour use on the Standard specification – The mechanism, sub-frame and five-star base are all polished aluminium, and on the Standard specification the chair carries BS 5459-2, the British Standard covering severe heavy-duty and 24-hour use. Both specifications carry a GS safety certificate to 110 kg. Forward tilt adjustment and a 10 cm sliding seat are standard, with a height-adjustable backrest and black leather side-stitched panel detailing.
Key Highlights:
Patented Pendolo backrest – vertical-axis rotation in addition to recline
BS 5459-2 certified on the Standard specification – the British Standard for severe heavy-duty and 24-hour use
Polished aluminium mechanism, sub-frame and base
10 cm sliding seat depth adjustment – one of the widest ranges in this category
Forward tilt adjustment standard
Height-adjustable backrest with black leather side-stitched panel detail
Designed around the fact that sitting still is the problem – The Pendolo mechanism exists to keep the back and pelvic muscles working through the day rather than locking the trunk in one position. Seat and backrest are cold-moulded polyurethane foam.
Pneumatic seat height adjustment: 40–52 cm on a gas lift with integral damping
Pendolo vertical-axis rotation: The backrest turns with the trunk instead of resisting it
Sliding seat depth (100 mm): 38–48 cm range, covering a wide span of leg lengths
Height-adjustable backrest: Aligns lumbar support to the individual spine
Sliding tension control: Sets recline resistance to bodyweight
Forward tilt adjustment: Standard, for concentrated work at the desk edge

Why it matters
Even a well-engineered chair won't help if it's set up incorrectly — you'll carry the same aches into a new chair. This guide covers the small, high-impact adjustments that fix the cause, not the symptom, so your chair delivers the comfort and support it's built for.
How you receive it
Place any order and we'll email your download link as soon as your order is confirmed. Open it on your phone, tablet or laptop and follow the steps as you set up your chair.
The Apex Ergonomics Pack is available only to Apex Comfort customers — not included when the same chairs are bought from general retailers or marketplaces.
